Transformation begins with awareness—but awareness starts with noticing. In this experiential pre-conference session, coaches will explore how art and embodied practices help uncover deeper insights, cultivate presence, and create the fertile conditions for growth.

Art invites us to slow down, interpret, and reflect—revealing our values, assumptions, and emotional patterns. The body teaches us how energy, emotion, and possibility live within us—shaping how we show up, lead, and coach. Together, these practices surface the seeds of transformation—the subtle shifts in perception and energy that spark lasting change.

Through creative dialogue, mindful observation, and somatic exploration, participants will practice coaching with their whole selves: mind, body, and spirit. This immersive experience offers practical tools that help clients plant possibility, nurture insight, and harvest impact.

Presence, Trust, and Perspective: Building Coaching Skills with Art with Jenn DePrizio

What happens when we connect art and coaching? Since the beginning of human history, visual art has made concrete, which is abstract. In this way, encounters with works of art help us better understand and appreciate ourselves and others. This interactive session explores how works of art can unlock deeper insights into ourselves and our clients, strengthen coaching presence, and foster more inclusive dialogue. Art is not only a mirror of human experience but also a catalyst for new awareness because we inevitably interpret art through our own lived experience, surfacing values, assumptions, and emotions that shape our worldview. Art provides a safe yet powerful entry point into the heart of coaching, helping clients make discoveries.

Just as no two people interpret a work of art the same way, coaching thrives on honoring multiple truths. Discussing art strengthens our comfort with ambiguity, to listen without judgment, and to embrace complexity, essential for cultivating trust and safety. Slowing down to observe and reflect mirrors coaching presence by sharpening awareness, attunement, and curiosity. By embracing the creative process of meaning-making, coaches will expand their capacity to build empathy, foster psychological safety, and support clients in generating fresh perspectives and possibilities.

Leadership in Motion: Unlocking Potential Through Movement and Somatic Intelligence with Stephanie Simpson

Leadership is not just something we think about—it’s something we embody. As coaches, we often focus on mindset, language, and strategy, but the body also carries wisdom that can unlock new levels of awareness, resilience, and growth.

In this interactive session, participants will explore how integrating somatic practices and movement into coaching can expand leadership capacity—for both themselves and their clients. Drawing on the Energy Leadership™ framework and her background in dance and somatics, facilitator Stephanie Simpson will guide coaches through experiential exercises that bring energy and awareness into motion. Participants will practice noticing how different energetic states show up physically and emotionally, and learn tools to help clients shift patterns, regulate their nervous systems, and step into more resourceful ways of leading. By weaving together coaching methodology and somatic intelligence, this session offers an expanded toolkit for coaches who want to support transformation that is sustainable, embodied, and deeply impactful.

Key Takeaways
